A unique string consisting of five characters which Gemalto assigns to every software vendor that uses its Sentinel LDK solution. The batch code helps to distinguish license keys used by different software vendors.
Sentinel HL keys usually have batch codes written on their cases.
Currently VIT uses the following batch code: EAOWT (numbers equivalent: 107392). The AAOTB keys (106763) are no longer issued and provided to customers.
Key ID
A unique identifier of a Sentinel protection key.
Feature
An identifier for a protected functionality unit of a product. It is written into license key's memory and allows the corresponding functionality unit to be independently controlled by the license.
In Sentinel LDK, a Product is a collection of one or more licensed Features. All Features contained in one license key determine what product(s) functionality units are available for usage (on the computer where that key is installed, see the Example).
Example
VIT has specified that Feature 4004 allows recognition of Colombian LPs, while Feature 20 allows usage of 10 recognition channels (threads) at “Freeflow” video processing speed. See Licensing structure of VIT productsfor more information on protected license plate recognition parameters.
