[Testing VitSQLquery] Configuration of video import to Intellect Enterprise

In order to test AutoCode LPR and VitSQLquery functionality working together, you will need a video stream to recognize license plates on. If you do not have a traffic surveillance camera integrated to your Intellect Enterprise VMS, you can configure import of video frames from the local file system. To do this, follow the instruction below.

  1. Make sure you have a traffic flow video on your recognition server.

Please note that license plate images on your video must meet our quality requirements.

  2. Make sure you have an appropriate codec for your video file.

For example, in our test installations, we use Media Player Codec Pack.

  3. Activate Intellect Enterprise's virtual grabber. To do this:
    • Open the Advanced Settings Utility. By default its path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Intellect\Tools\tweaki.exe.
    • Go to Video subsystem section.
    • Check the Use virtual grabber checkbox. Press OK.
  4. Open Intellect Enterprise. On the Hardware tab, create a Video capture device object.
  5. Set the Type parameter of a newly created object as Virtual.
  6. Create a Camera object based on Video capture device object you have just created.
  7. Select a video file you want to import (with help of Folder parameter in Camera object's settings).

If video is imported successfully, it will be displayed in the right upper corner of the settings pane (after you click on the corresponding UI element).
