[ADVANCED] License update/activation with a Product Key

Step 1.

From your manager, you have received:

  • Your unique Product Key, a string of characters which represents your product activation/update order.

  • A link to the Sentinel EMS Customer Portal, a web-portal to be accessed by a customer (you) in order to activate/update a license with the received Product Key.

As you may be aware, the Product Key can be used multiple times, which makes it very useful for updating/activating products with identical functionalities on multiple end-user's machines. 

Step 2.

Customer Portal provides with two types of Product Key activation  Online and Offline. Determine which of the two is suitable for you:

If you have an opportunity to

access the Customer Portal from a computer where protected VIT software is installed,

If you only have an opportunity to

access the Customer Portal from the computer where protected VIT software is NOT installed,

follow this instruction on Online Activation.follow this instruction on Offline Activation.
End-users usually activate/update their licenses via Online Activation.

Software distributors usually generate licenses for end users via Offline Activation.

Also, if you are an end-user, but due to any reasons you can not access the Customer Portal from the computer where protected software is installed, perform the Offline Activation.
